Innisdale Student Wins Top Honours at ICDC

|

Joanne Cheng, a grade 11 student at Innisdale Secondary School, travelled to Orlando, Florida to compete in the DECA internationals, ICDC (international career development conference). She received first place out of over 200 competitors in the accounting category, competing against students from all over the world! Erin Ross also deserves mention for winning a medal in her written test category. In all, eleven Innisdale students and two teacher advisors in Innisdale's DECA Club went on the week-long trip to compete in business events or improve leadership skills. It was a wonderful experience that was full of competition, learning opportunities, and fun! Students had a chance to meet people from every state, as well as go to Universal Studios and a dance. ICDC is always a great trip, and we look forward to more opportunities in the future. Consider joining the DECA Club next year for your chance!
