Last week's "How I Met Your Mother" episode Zoo or false? Was focused on Marshall after he had been mugged at gun point. After telling the group Lilly becomes nervous and scared of a repeat incident, and Robin convinces her to buy a gun. Once Marshall finds out that Lilly is planning on buying a gun he tells the group that he was lying out about how he was mugged. The truth is that he was mugged by a monkey at the zoo. The whole group finds this hilarious and Robin asks Marshall to be on her morning talk show. Marshall reluctantly agrees but later tells Ted and Barney that he can't go on television with the monkey story because it's a lie. The guys are not sure which story to believe, was he mugged by a man with a gun, or a monkey. Robin announces to everyone that if the story goes well she could go national with and it could very well be her big break. The whole group joined Robin and Marshall at the TV studio to view the story, Robin had a zoo keeper bring in the monkey, Captain Bobo. After talking to the zoo keeper Marshall discovers that Captain Bobo with be sent to an animal sanctuary and separated from his mate permanently because he stole from him. Once on the air Marshall decides to tell the gun story to keep the monkey from being sent away. This causes Lilly to decide once again to buy a gun to which Marshall say he was robbed by a monkey. This causes the zoo keeper to decide to send the monkey away. This goes back and forth a few times till Marshall just walks out of the studio without telling anyone what the truth is.
