Rugby Season Returns

|

Don your cleats and grab your jerseys because it's rugby season once again. At the moment, both girls' and guys' teams are currently practicing in the gym and because they have both just started, they are still accepting potential players to come out and play, but don't take too long because the window of opportunity is closing fast.

Last year the girls' rugby team made to the GBSSA finals to play against Central Collegiate Institute. Although they lost, the girls are out for revenge this year and they are coming with a highly skilled and competitive team filled with fast and powerful veteran players and highly determined rookies. The first game is expected to be fast approaching. Although the date has not been set yet, the girls are hard at it, practicing after school day in and day out and as the days get warmer they will soon practice outside on our home field.

The veteran players leading the girls this year will be the hard-hitting and ever perseverant Kelsey Maus, as well as the highly skilled tag team duo of the Webb sisters, Kelsey and Kendall. With them, and many other experienced players there, are high expectations for this year's team from the coaching staff. They expect the team to make it to the GBSSA finals and win this year.

One thing is for certain though: in regards to our game versus Central this year, it is to be played on our home field and we will be ready to bring it when they come. Go Invaders.
