Forget what the calendar says! It is never truly the first day of spring until the Invader baseball team's first game. This year, Spring begins on April 27th.
The Invader baseball team has already begun practicing, with many returning veterans and eager rookies coming out to play. The team is also welcoming a new addition to the coaching staff, Coach Newfeld, who will be helping Innisdale's pitchers. The other staff members are very happy to have him and welcome him to the team.
Among the veterans who will be leading the squad there are many senior players, such as pitcher Ryan Fedrigo and players Spencer Mulholland, Josh Svenson, and Chris Graham. These and many other veterans make up the core of the team by which the coaches build on.
As previously stated, the first game of the season is on April 27th versus Nantyr Shores. If you have some time I implore you to go and watch our team play. For the first time the baseball team is having a Friday Night Lights at Barrie Metals Stadium, home of the Baycats. This prestigious event is going to happen on May 14th at seven thirty p.m. so, if you have space on your calendar fill it with this event.
