Grade Nines Face EQAO Test

|

On January 18 and 19, Grade Nines across Ontario who had math first semester took the EQAO math test. This test is administered to measure student success in the public school system, or, in other words, to prove to our parents that their tax dollars are being spent well. It also shows teachers the areas that students are having the most troubles in so that they can better understand what to teach. However, Innisdale's Grade Nines were not overjoyed about the fact that they had just another test to worry about at the end of the semester. Molly Burt said, "I think it added unnecessary stress before exam time." Christina Robertson exclaimed that EQAO stood for "Evil Questions Attacking Ontario". The harsh feelings might have been brought on because this was the first set of exams for Grade Nines, so it added extra pressure. Some students were calmer about the EQAO test, especially after they completed it. "I found it was really easy, if you studied for it," Clarity Munyikwa explained. Hopefully you studied hard, and hopefully it shows when you discover your mark!
